The R0ots of Healing

A foundational trauma healing class that changes the way you understand yourself.

Finally Understand Why You Feel Emotionally Overwhelmed, Spiral in Shame, or Struggle in Relationships

This 1-hour foundational class will help you understand how childhood experiences shape nervous system dysregulation, emotional overwhelm, self-blame, abandonment wounds, and painful relationship patterns.

If you’ve ever wondered:

Why do I react this way?”

“Why do relationships feel so painful or overwhelming?”

“Why do I understand my trauma intellectually, but still feel stuck emotionally?”

“Why do I feel ashamed of myself so often?”

“Why does my nervous system feel unsafe even when nothing is wrong?”

This class was created to help these patterns finally begin to make sense through a compassionate, trauma-informed lens.

Maybe This Feels Familiar…

  • You feel deeply impacted by rejection, conflict, or distance in relationships.

  • You fear abandonment, but also struggle to fully trust closeness.

  • You constantly blame yourself and feel fundamentally flawed.

  • Your emotions can feel overwhelming, confusing, or hard to regulate.

  • You intellectually understand your trauma, but this hasn’t helped you feel better.

  • You over-analyze interactions and assume you did something wrong.

  • You swing between people pleasing, shutting down, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, or pulling away.

  • You wonder why relationships and emotions feel harder for you than they seem to for others.

None of this means you’re broken.

Feeling safe in your body and secure about yourself isn’t always as simple convincing yourself that you’re okay.

There’s a reason why it’s felt so hard.

These patterns are intelligent survival adaptations shaped by earlier experiences where emotional safety, connection, or attunement may not have felt fully available.

And once you understand them, healing begins to make more sense.

Inside this 60-minute, self-paced class, you’ll take the first step towards truly healing (not just learning how to “cope” better).

In this 1-hour training, you’ll begin understanding:

  • The core foundation of how childhood experiences shape the nervous system and emotional responses.

  • Why shame becomes so deeply internalized.

  • The survival patterns underneath anxiety, people pleasing, perfectionism, emotional reactivity, shutdown, and self-criticism.

  • Why many people feel stuck in painful relationship cycles.

  • How attachment wounds continue impacting adult relationships and sense of self.

  • Why insight alone often isn’t enough for healing.

  • Foundational nervous system tools to help create more regulation, steadiness, and self-compassion.

What You’ll Learn Inside This Foundational Class

This class is designed to help you build clarity and self-understanding without overwhelming you.

“I really appreciated that this course didn’t try to “fix me” – it helped me understand me. I’ve done some reading on trauma before, but this course really helped me connect some important dots about how my responses to the trauma were not only reasonable but necessary at the time. I am coming away with a lot more compassion for myself as well as more hope for genuine healing instead of the perpetual coping strategies.”

Stephanie R.

“I’ve heard that childhood impacts us in adulthood many times, but the way Rebecca synthesized this for me was incredibly helpful; for the first time I feel like I have an understanding of why I react the way I do – whether that is freezing or staying highly anxious. What Rebecca teaches helped me feel a lot more compassion for myself and I gained some real hope that with healing, this will heal and get better!”

Jason T.

“It was like someone finally put words to things I’ve felt my whole life. I feel calmer and more hopeful.”

Hi, I’m Rebecca Prolman, LMFT

Over the years, I’ve worked with many people who believed they were broken.

Many were carrying deep shame, relationship pain, emotional overwhelm, abandonment wounds, or intense self-criticism without understanding how to meaningfully shift these internal experiences.

What I’ve seen over and over again is this:

When people begin understanding their survival adaptations through a compassionate and nervous-system-informed lens, healing starts to feel possible.

I created this foundational class to give people an accessible starting place for understanding themselves more deeply and beginning the healing process with less shame and more clarity.

This work is also deeply personal to me. Much of what I teach comes not only from my clinical experience, but from my own healing journey, reflections, and years of personal exploration around trauma, shame, relationships, and nervous system healing.

Everything I teach is rooted in a warm, trauma-informed, and down-to-earth understanding of healing that helps people reconnect with their natural resilience instead of viewing themselves as broken.

Why I Created This Class

 The Goal of This Class

The goal is not to “fix” you.

The goal is to help you begin to understand within your body, not just your mind:

  • Why your nervous system responds the way it does.

  • Why certain relationship patterns keep repeating.

  • Where shame comes from.

  • How your survival adaptations once protected you.

  • How healing becomes possible when you begin relating to yourself with more understanding instead of blame.

You are not broken.
Your patterns make sense.
And healing is possible.

Healing begins when you stop judging your struggles and start tending to the wounds beneath the ways you learned to survive.

You’ll start to move through life with more confidence, joy, and peace.

Begin the Roots of Healing Class today to start relating to yourself with more compassion, clarity, and hope.
